Behind the Integral Theory

The Integral Theory is a meta-theory that combines insights from as many theories and fields of knowledge as possible. The aim is to create the most integrative and comprehensive picture possible of reality, but without claiming that everything has already been figured out. The Integral Theory is dynamic and intends to be altered and updated with time. Because we are talking about a meta-theory that integrates many different perspectives it has not just one founder but many, the main originator being Ken Wilber. This website is based on his research and publications as well as the works of researchers and scientists referred to in his books.

Ken Wilber

Ken Wilber is one of the most important philosophers of our time. He is a bestselling author with 25 Books that have been translated into 30 different languages. Form a young age he focused on the study of consciousness and its interplay with reality. He became known as the main originator of the Integral Theory,  which many claim to be the most integrative theory to date. He is the founder of Integral Institute, and co-founder of Integral Life.

He was born in 1949 in Oklahoma and currently lives in Denver, Colorado where he is still working on new publications. In his teachings he aims at bringing people to integral stages of human development by growing their level of consciousness through integral life practice.

Dominik Delgado Diaz

Hey, my name is Dominik! I am a passionate philosophy addict and long-term meditator from Germany and Spain. I have a big interest in psychology, philosophy, mysticism, and spirituality. That’s why I fell in love with studying Integral Theory. I love integrating deep and complex thoughts into a comprehensive picture of life.

I am currently 26 years old and work at the "Institute of Conscious Education and Social Transformation (CEST)" at Alanus University in Germany, which I initiated together with Prof. Dr. Marcelo da Veiga. I graduated in the studies of the Integral Theory within the context of my studies in "Philosophy, Arts, and Social Entrepreneurship" at Alanus University. In 2019, I graduated from my design studies in Hamburg as a communication designer. Besides building passion projects like this website together with my best friend Simon, I have been working as a freelance designer and artist for over eight years. As a passionate supporter of other artists, I founded an Art Coworking Space in the heart of Bonn to provide emerging artists with a supportive community. Additionally, at Alanus University, I teach Spiral Dynamics, the Integral Theory, and self-reflection techniques for personal and spiritual development. Furthermore, I work as an organizational developer for conscious and spiritual organizations in the US, Germany, and Spain.

Hi, I’m Simon. I would consider myself an entrepreneur and personal development enthusiast. When I came across the Integral Theory I immediately felt the need to study this topic in depth. I love theories that focus on big-picture-thinking and deal with meta-structures that exist behind material phenomena. Combining different approaches from different perspectives and integrating them into a greater whole is extremely satisfying to me.

I’m 27 and I currently live in Amsterdam. During the time I graduated from high-school I ran my first online-business that built the foundation for my future sustainable business ideas and projects. I’ve founded two sustainable clothing brands and an audio-book publishing-service. Through my self-learned experience in design and brand-building I became a freelance web-designer in early 2021. The Integral Map website is a passion project for me because it combines my interest in philosophy with the art of making websites.
